This project focuses on pandemic response and preparedness for future epidemics. It collects primary community data on relevant symptoms of COVID-19, and surveys on public knowledge and behaviour regarding respiratory infectious diseases, hand hygiene and social distancing in Ghana. The results will be disseminated in real time to policy makers in Ghana and Togo to support rapid national decision-making. The methods and aggregated results will be freely available for review by other countries. Ethical approval will be sought from the University of Southhampton and the Ghana Health Service. |
