Governance Survey in Sub-Saharan Africa: Launch of the Burkina Faso Phase

Following Mali and other countries in the sub-region, we are continuing the Study on Military Coups in Sub-Saharan Africa with a new phase in Burkina Faso.

Today, we began training field agents who will be responsible for collecting citizens’ opinions through a representative sample. The goal is to better understand public perceptions of regime changes and their implications for governance and democracy in the region.

As in other countries, the study is conducted entirely independently, with no affiliation to any government or political party, in order to ensure the confidentiality and reliability of the responses collected.

We thank our partners and our field teams for their commitment and professionalism in implementing this essential project.
